Privacy Policy

Privacy policy — Last updated October 2026

The short version: we collect as little as possible, we never sell your information, and we never ask for your Social Security number, bank details, or immigration documents.

What we collect

  • What you type into our forms. If you use the Contact form or Submit a Program form, we keep the name, email, and message you send so we can reply. If you use Apply for Me, we keep the details you share (like your ZIP code, household size, and what you need help with) so a person can follow up with your guide.
  • Newsletter email address. Only if you check the newsletter box on Apply for Me. One short email a week; unsubscribe anytime with one click.
  • Anonymous site usage. We use privacy-respecting analytics to see which pages people visit, so we know what’s working. This doesn’t identify you.

What we never collect

  • We never ask for Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, immigration documents, medical records, or passwords. If anyone claiming to be us asks for these, stop — it’s a scam. Read our Disclaimer to learn the warning signs.

How we use what we collect

  • To reply to your messages and program submissions.
  • To prepare and send your personal Apply for Me guide.
  • To send the weekly newsletter, only if you asked for it.
  • To improve the site — for example, seeing that the SNAP page is popular tells us to keep it updated.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it. Ever.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses a small number of cookies to remember your preferences (like dismissing a notice) and to count visits anonymously. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking. You can block cookies in your browser and the site will still work.

Who sees your information

  • Our small team, only when needed to reply to you or prepare your guide.
  • Our form and email providers, who store submissions securely in order to deliver them to us.
  • Nobody else. We don’t share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or programs listed on the site.

If law enforcement requests your information, we require a valid court order and will tell you unless we’re legally forbidden from doing so.

Children

This site is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you’re a parent or guardian and believe your child sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter anytime with the link at the bottom of any email.
  • Ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@jacksonvillebenefits.com. We’ll respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and note what changed. Big changes get a notice on the homepage for 30 days.
