Florida Heiken Children’s Vision Program

Verified · October 23, 2026

This program gives full eye exams by a licensed eye doctor, and glasses if needed, to Florida public school students who qualify. There is no cost to the family or the school. If a child qualifies, the program sends a voucher through the child’s school with the name, address and phone number of a participating doctor to call for an appointment; when a school has 30 or more eligible students, its mobile eye care unit may visit the school instead.
