Legal Help
Fair Housing Unit
Verified · October 23, 2026
The Fair Housing Unit works to enforce fair housing laws for people who face housing discrimination. It teaches people how to spot and report discrimination, investigates cases (including through testing), and can help with enforcement. Help can include negotiating a settlement, representing a client in state or federal court, or helping file a case with a government agency. It is a separate Fair Housing Unit with its own page, its own hotline extension, and no income requirement.
