Verified · October 23, 2026

WCJ is the certified rape crisis center for Duval, Nassau and Baker Counties. It provides free, wrap-around care for survivors of sexual assault, available 24/7 through on-call victim advocates and sexual assault nurse examiners, including immediate emotional support, forensic exams, rights and options counseling (regardless of law enforcement involvement), and court accompaniment. Its Rape Recovery Team also offers a 24-hour hotline (904-721-7273) with crisis intervention, information and referrals, advocacy and accompaniment for medical appointments and criminal justice proceedings, and advocate-facilitated peer support groups. WCJ counselors offer confidential, trauma-informed counseling — free of charge — to survivors and co-survivors age 12+, and general counseling for women (18+) facing anxiety, grief, stress, relationship troubles and other issues, in person and via telehealth. (Categorized Legal Help to sit beside batch 1’s Hubbard House domestic-violence entry.)
