Legal Help
Housing Unit (Landlord-Tenant Help)
Verified · October 23, 2026
JALA’s Housing Unit handles landlord-tenant problems, such as a landlord locking a tenant out, refusing to make repairs, or trying to evict them. The unit says it cannot represent everyone who applies because it has only a few housing attorneys, but if you are eligible and it cannot take your case, it will still try to give you information and advice about your problem. The page also links to tenant self-help pamphlets, forms, and videos.
