Free Thanksgiving Meals and Food Help in Jacksonville (2026)
Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26, 2026. If money is tight this year, here is the holiday food help in Jacksonville that we could verify on official pages — with the one sit-down Thanksgiving meal that has a confirmed date, and honest notes where plans have not been announced yet.
The verified Thanksgiving meal
City Rescue Mission invites anyone in need to its Thanksgiving Meal on Wednesday, November 25, 2026 at the New Life Inn, 234 W. State Street:
- 10:00 a.m. — coffee, snacks, and fellowship
- 10:30 a.m. — worship service
- 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. — Thanksgiving meal served
- Hope Totes, shoes, socks, and blankets given out while supplies last
It is free and you just walk in — no signup. Questions: (904) 421-5147.
Meals that run on Thanksgiving Day itself
Sulzbacher serves lunch at 12 p.m. and dinner at 5 p.m. every day of the year — Thanksgiving Day included — at 611 E. Adams St. No special holiday signup; just come.
Groceries before the holiday
Feeding Northeast Florida is packing 6,000 holiday meal boxes (its Harvest Helpings program, enough for up to 60,000 people across 12 counties). Those boxes reach families through Feeding NEFL’s partner pantries and mobile pantries — not at the warehouse. Find the pantry or mobile pantry near you on our Feeding Northeast Florida page.
In Mandarin, the Mandarin Food Bank provides Thanksgiving and Christmas meal boxes — call (904) 292-1675 before you go, and bring a photo ID and proof of address.
One honest note
Clara White Mission serves meals year-round at 613 W. Ashley St, but it has not announced a special Thanksgiving event for 2026 yet. Call (904) 354-4162 to confirm its holiday plans before heading over.
And if the food budget is tight beyond one day, Food Assistance (SNAP) helps every month — Feeding NEFL can even help you apply. Or run our free checker to see everything you qualify for.
